– During the past two days, the Egyptian social media was upside down because of Amr Adib’s statements on the Hekaya program, which criticize Al-Ahly Club because of the congratulations of Mohamed Abu Trika, the former team player and one of the football legends in Egypt and Al-Ahly Club, on his birthday.

Why Amr Adeeb is lying?

– The truth is this is pure lies, because Abu Trika wrote on his official page more than once, condolences after more than one terrorist incident. In April 2020, after the Bir al-Abed incident, he wrote on his official Facebook page, “A testimony for the sake of the homeland, eternity in the heavens and in hearts and minds.. May God have mercy on the martyrs of Egypt in the city of Bir al-Abed and put them in the vastness of his gardens, and may God protect Egypt and its people from all evil and evil.
– Abu Trika wrote in June 2019 condolences for the police officers who were martyred on Eid, and in 2017, he wrote more than one condolences for the 300 martyrs who died in the Al-Rawda Mosque in Sinai, and he wrote after the bombing of St. George’s Church in Tanta in 2017 on Twitter, “My sincere condolences to the people Al-Masry and the families of the victims of St. George’s Church, and my best wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured, and may God protect Egypt and its people, and perpetuate tolerance and peace for us.”
– And other than this, he wrote more than condolences for the martyrs who fell as a result of terrorist operations. Therefore, Amr Adib is a liar without any pun.
– In fact, at the time, when Abu Trika was writing these condolences, he was also attacked by some media professionals with strange pretexts, for all the time he wrote or was not targeted by campaigns from time to time.
– The second part of Amr Adib’s campaign is to say that he does not have a problem with the fans or members of Al-Ahly club congratulating Abu Trika on his birthday, but how does the state-owned Al-Ahly club congratulate a player on the terrorist lists on his birthday.
The truth is, the story of Abu Trika with the Terrorism Law itself has many problems, because Abu Trika has so far not been issued a direct conviction against him in cases related to terrorism.
The case for which Abu Trika is on the lists of terrorism, and therefore his property in Egypt was confiscated and he was prevented from renewing his passport from the Egyptian embassy in Doha, is a case in which Abu Trika was named among other people.
– This is Case No. 653 of 2014 limiting supreme state security, and case No. 620 of 2018 limiting supreme state security, on charges of financing the banned Brotherhood through a tourism company he owned with others.
– Therefore, there is no judicial ruling in this case until now, meaning that Abu Trika is on the lists of terrorism only while waiting for the expiration of the period of this list after five years, and of course we all know how these lists were used and who is in them.
– But legal inclusion on the terrorist lists will be for a period not exceeding 5 years, which began for Abu Trika in 2018, and therefore ends in 2023.
If the listing period lapses without a final ruling being issued, the Public Prosecution must resubmit the aforementioned department to consider extending the listing for another period, otherwise the person’s name must be removed from the list from the date of the expiry of that period.
The Public Prosecutor may, during the listing period, in light of the justifications he shows, request the criminal department that is looking into the matter to raise the name of the person listed on the terrorist lists.
The third and important part is dealing with Al-Ahly club as if it stands against the Egyptian people, and this is a very strange, deliberate and recurring confusion on the part of Amr Adeeb and other media professionals, which is dealing with civil institutions such as clubs that have a general assembly and elections and that take public funds as owned by the state (meaning the political system here) does not belong to the people.
Al-Ahly Club is a public, civil institution that finances part of its revenues from Egyptian taxpayers’ money. It is not owned by the ruling political system, as well as Zamalek Club and other public clubs, and therefore it is the right of Al-Ahly Club, Zamalek or others that it has political rights as an institution, including that it disagrees with the policy of The state is normal, meaning, just as any public institution in the world has the right to disagree with the trends of the ruling political system at this time, and just as any minister or official has the right to disagree with the president or the ruling public policy.
Not to mention that by law there is no article, regulation or text that prevents Al-Ahly club from congratulating a former player with it, even if he is in the midst of a “mainly political” problem.

What do we see from all this?
– After continuous years of the regime’s media attack directed at Abu Trika, the truth is, we are not able to understand how much this is. The problem of Abu Trika specifically, in our opinion with the current regime, is that he does not want to offer the obligations of loyalty and obedience only, Abu Trika from Zaman, specifically after an incident Port Said had positive attitudes with the families of the martyrs, and was rejecting what happened in Rab’a, like many Egyptians. They did not reject what happened in Rab’a, even if they did not agree with the political context and had comments, but they sympathized a lot. Is it necessary to execute all those who sympathized with humanity? Nor Amr Adeeb want what exactly.
Abu Trika is a person who issued himself to the public sphere in sporting and non-sporting situations, so it is normal for opinions about his stances to differ between a supporter or an opponent, but this is never a reason for lying and falsification, and I have no neck with the facts to distort the football player, people love him and you are different with him.

On the human level, Abu Trika, despite all this attack, is still a humble person who does not attack his country. On the contrary, he takes advantage of the least opportunity to express that he himself has returned to Egypt, but is forced to stay outside.
– Even away from all that has passed, and regardless of who Abu Trika is, the subject itself does not need this convulsion, I mean, by Amr Adeeb, and the one who cramps a lot during the last period by doing something that means eating bread, and the last of which was, for example, the attack on George Qardahi, because he said on The war in Yemen is an inhuman war that must stop, and at that time Amr – who works on a Saudi channel with the highest wages for an Arab broadcaster – was telling George Qardahi that the meat of his shoulders is from the good of Saudi Arabia, so how do you mean he would attack it.
– Congratulating X or Y on his birthday is a need that is not worthy and does not need a political stance or proof of loyalties, Professor Amr, and this is because in the end I mean, Abu Trika, he could not carry a weapon and kill people in the fields of war.
– What Amr Adeeb does, and what Amr Adib does, is not only dangerous for the person of Abu Trika. On the contrary, countries aim to ignite a war in society all the time, always looking for a conflict and a made-up enemy, and another we must attack and assassinate him morally.
– Inciting the division of society into two groups is a crime, whether Amr Adib is aware of it or not, and it is very possible that the day who did this will be held accountable.
– We always see complaints about football fanaticism, and the need to take measures against those who incite the matter, and we see what Amr Adib is doing.
